During the course of this research project, many additional research questions surfaced. In reviewing the following recommendations, the researcher encourages others to consider qualitative as well as quantitative studies. While this study was primarily quantitative, the researcher is convinced that case studies could provide valuable information about how technology professional development programs impact the integration of technology into school systems.
1. A comparison of the effectiveness of the InTech Project with other similar technology professional development programs.
2. A longitudinal study of the impact of technology professional development programs on the overall teaching and learning process taking place in the classrooms of participating teachers.
3. A longitudinal study of the impact of technology professional development programs on student achievement.
4. A study of the impact of technology professional development programs on participating teachers and their ability to influence other faculty members to begin integrating technology into the curriculum.
5. A study of how administrative support impacts the overall success of technology professional development programs such as the InTech Project.
6. This study should be replicated and extended at different settings, including middle school and high school.
