Tutorial Articles

This section contains articles which are intended to help someone who might be struggling with a software application. Hopefully, the partucular feature that is causing trouble will have a solution in this section. We don't intend to provide tutorial help for ALL software titles, just many of the types of programs used for educational purposes. This could include instructional, administrative, professional development, or technical. If you are interested in contributing to this section we will be most interested in expanding our growing list of titles having support.

We envision this section containing hints in a text only format. We also would like to see screen shots where useful. Movies showing a feature from one point to another are welcomed with the obvious concern for weight. This section of the journal will be useful if the people who have specific skills share their fellow educators. We are looking for topics you would like to see developed as well as possible solutions to submitted questions. We can't promise a quick response to your question(s) or suggestions for new software titles to cover, but we will try. We have some features of selected applications (see table below), but could use others.

The initial tutorials were developed by the Ejournal editor, Jim Hutcheson. We hope you will be motivated to add to this section! If you have not made a tutorial using screen shots, you may profit from reading this short tutorial on a very inexpensive way to use screen shots.

If you would like to submit a tutorial for publication with the eJournal, please read the guidelines first.
